I am still interested as well
I bet there are others forum's with members that would be attracted to this offer, but I am not sure how reach out to them within our guidelines?

Sorry for the late response, I was out of the office for the last several days. As of now, the $1750 stands for the deal offered. The Group buy will be active June 24th for ONE day only, as I have been informed.

Tool Time,

I like your screen name. Now we just need Tim Allen to come in. I dont officially know what the policy is on linking to other boards. I do believe that PM'ing people to say come to my new site is a no no.. I put it on the calendar for the 24th. Who do we call, email, handshake, etc?

I would be willing to bet if Tim was purchasing one of these lifts he would be designing a more powerful pump. Of course his outcome would be a new skylight in the garage ceiling.
Good question, who and how we place the order, I also need the information for the delivery arrangements.. Unfortunately I am traveling from the 25th until July 5th so I need to work out those details. If this offer is on the up and up I am looking forward to no longer slither under my vehicles.

I am resurrecting this post with the hope I can gain a few answers for myself and possibly a few of you.

I am interested in purchasing one of the MaxJax lifts in this group buy, but I need more information to the following questions.

It was stated this would be a one day buy only, 24th, how do we make this purchase, website, phone call or special order number?

On the garage equipment supply webpage, the MaxJax web page notes shipping is included in the price; I would like a better understanding what type of shipping, lift gate or do we need to make arrangements to unload?

In order for this purchase to go through are 5 buyers still required?

At this time, unless something unseen occurs consider one spoken for.

Dave, I have been waiting for the same info. I will say that it has been my experience that shipping would be to the dock of the loading company. I would expect lift gate service to be another 100 to 150 bucks. I am just going to get it loaded in the back of my truck and unload piece by piece with a couple of buddies.

I am also just going to call the company on friday and tell them I am part of the grp buy. I may have to get transferred a couple times but I will give it a shot. I havent tried PM'ing the GES employee yet. Hopefully we will here something soon

I'm trying to see the appeal of the maxjax. Is it only appealing to people with low ceilings? The max lift of it isn't enough to walk under the car? It's like a little better than jack stands but not quite as good as a "real" lift?

I bought one about a year ago. As soon as I saw the videos I "saw" the appear of it. There is nothing else currently available that does what you can do with this lift...i.e. unbolt it and store it. Yes, you cant stand under it and it will "only" lift 6K. But to me it is perfect. You show me jack stands that go high enoung to safely go under on a creeper seat...Yes it is much better than laying on your back. Not to mention trying to get your vehicle safely up on them.

If you can't see the appeal of it simply don't buy it. Find someone that has one and check it out...
It is a real lift just a bit smaller...IT IS THE BALLS!

(can you tell I LOVE mine??? and I paid 1950 for mine with NO freebees)

Thanks guys for the inside review.

I am only a weekend wrencher, but do most of my own maintenances and repairs to our vehicles. I also like the idea of getting the vehicle high enough to detail the lower portions without the need to bend over. For me the Maxjax seems to be a perfect fit, with a 9’6” garage ceiling and my heaviest vehicle around 4500 pounds. I figure if I do enough oil changes, tire rotations and other repairs it will pay for itself in short time. Not to mention saving to the body.

Unfortunately I don’t believe my concrete is 4” so that will be one of my next upcoming weekend repairs.

I hope not, I just set my watch back!

Maybe they are throwing in a time machine with the lift. If they do, I am in.

Anyone interested should jump on this. In my experience, the profit margins on equipment like this are a lot smaller than most people think.

Ordered mine. Will be here in 5-7 days. Talked to a guy named Ryan. Good guy, he knew about the GB price, no issues. Saved me $323 bucks vs. Costco.

Just ordered one! It was that last price drop that did it $1750 >> $1749!

Here is an actual video of me when it was confirmed.

So, $1879 with liftgate. No tax, correct? Costco is $1899, with shipping, but probably a similar charge for liftgate service, plus tax. That would run $2150 for me with our 6.5% sales tax in SW Ohio.
So about $270 savings if I order one today.....

Mine was $1749 out the door. I THINK they will deliver it all the way to your house on a truck, but you better have a forklift or a way to get it off the truck. I elected to keep it at the terminal so they can fork it into the back of my pickup truck. I will unload a piece at a time to get it in the garage.

My math was this. Costco=$1899 plus $123.43 (6.5%)tax, plus $50 membership. Total $2072.43-1749 Group Buy

$323.43 saved.

I have a costco membership with the 3% back, so that eats up some of the savings. With no pickup truck, I'm stuck for the $130 extra too. I guess I could rent a home depot truck or something. Probably better off to just pay for the liftgate service.

Don't know. Good question.
I do have a utility trailer I could use, but my car probably wouldn't tow it with the lift.

Truck depots usually 9-5 monday-friday hours? That makes things more difficult as well.

Just ordered mine, I went with the lift gate. I could borrow a trailer but I don’t have a lot of free time to make the trip to the loading dock. So for the extra 130, it works for me. I ordered the oil drain pan as well. I will not be able to install for about two weeks but I guess photos from all of us are going to be a requirement as is go through the installations.

Good question, I do have a few dollies’ I would hope they would bring a pallet jack? If they don't, I guess I best have a few friends over and the grill going at the correct time or its going to be a long day.

I asked about the lift gate when I was considering one about 18 months ago and was told that it was my responsibility to get it off the liftgate and that the driver would not be required to help me and that I could NOT take it off the liftgate piece by piece.

I ended up not getting it because as hard as I tried to convince myself that it would be really useful my garage is just too small for it. But it would have been nice to have to remove/install the transmission!

My plan was to either rent a pallet jack (was told the driver may not have one) or rent a u-haul trailer and go pick it up at the depot.

Good point if I need too I will use a large pry bar and two pieces of pipe and roll it off the gate. They have the harder job by getting it on the gate which tells me they will have a pallet jack or something to move the pallet.
