Hi everyone, been a member for a while but this is my first post. I moved into the house 3 months ago (new construction) and the first thing I said to the wife was "nothing gets done untill the garage is done" Pretty much done for now, I am planning to move some of the clutter into the shed, and I might take down the signs and replace with somthing else. Oh yeah and purchase a compressor.

It's nothing special, here's the pics

Sweet space! I'm also digging the vintage tool storage.

Buick and Pontiac are my faves, too, so it's nice to have you here :beer:

Welcome to the forum and I'm amazed you can type with broken fingers. The wife would've broken my fingers over a statement like you made.

Nice TA plans and way cool Buick, you gonna run the 15" Rally wheels or change to something else?

Well, this is a "guys" site... so, he tells us he made a statement like that, leaving us to believe that that's how it is... that he wears the pants, after all. :thumbup:

The reality is quite different. Allow me to speculate wildly as to how it might have actually gone down. He said what he said and his wife gave him "the look". Now, there might or might not have been some words exchanged.. it matters not. "The look" is the entrance to a man's living hell. Its fire peels the skin and causes even the most manly of men (Oh, let's say, The Fonz, or Arnold S himself) to devolve from bold and inspirational machismo to pathetic and contemptible wussiness. Daring to glance beyond "the look" can lead great men to wish for death, to be put upon the cross as a martyr for all of mankind, a statement that "I did not give in to The Look". Alas, the only other escape, if one is to survive the aftermath of "the look" with all body parts and possessions (mostly) intact, is a quickly delivered and profuse apology.

"The look" is sufficient disciplinary action, which, being a man (and thus wanting candy at some point in the now distant future), caused him, with great (and silent) consternation, to put up the draperies, hang pictures, get the china cabinet secured to the wall, unpack the kitchen, rearrange the living rm at least twice, put away the towels, cut the grass, meet the neighbours, etc etc. To add further insult to injury, his penance was delivered for at least twice as long as it would normally have taken had he offered up a simple "Yes Dear" from the get-go.

As Sean Morey wrote in The Man Song: I'm the man of this house! ... until you get home. :lol_hitti

(Just messin' wit' ya! :) )

To be honest with you guys she's the one that in the end convinced me to buy the Buick :beer: she's ok though, she got a fancy washroom out of it.

The plans for the Buick are to keep it all original, I'm only going to put bigger rims(19's??) and add some metallic to the paint. I'm haveing a hell of a time trying to find info on the car though, supposedly it is rare :headscrat

babzog- Your right I did get that "LOOK" lol, you guys should have seen the
neighbours expressions when I was laying down the tile.... they thought I was nuts !!! now it's a hang out for the men :beer:

Before I get back to work, I had a fellow (80-85 years old) come by and offered me 2 gas pumps from the late 60's and the best part...................................................................................................................................................................................................................

FOR FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

going to his farm next weekend to pick them up, also said he had a whole bunch of gas/oil stuff I could take
