looks very similar to any number of brands we were peddling in the 1970s and 1980s. imported from Taiwan, usually.
we started with "Wilmar" (now "Performance Tool" - found at O'Reilly's) and then later sales reps came in with any number of other brands. as I recall, we got Cal Steiner down to about $1.63 for a "Buffalo" set - had to order a thousand units for the price - freight prepaid from L.A.
we retailed them for $8.88 all day long, but could blow 'em out on a promo for $2.88 and still make money.
and of course they all had a "lifetime warranty"!
