Hello all. Recently got a house with a 800 sq ft garage. The floor is epoxy coated but it is either old or improperly put down. Some area are good some look worn out. I decided I wanted to race deck it but after adding the cost up it may be a future goal.

Long story short I picked up about 600 sqft of used gfloor Mats in grey diamond shape pattern.

Question 1. I scrubbed with a broom and fish soap. Some areas still stained. Is there a trick to getting the oil/dirt stains out? Don't want to just jump in and dump a bunch of chemicals on it.

Question 2. How do u guys hold this type of flooring down. Pulling the mats from the sellers garage he had some type of double sided tape. Anyone know where to get this?

Question 3. If cleaning does not work. Any clue if I can paint over it?

I searched the g floor website and emailed them. But I didn't see these particular questions answered. Thank u ahead of time for any help.

Question 1. I scrubbed with a broom and fish soap. Some areas still stained. Is there a trick to getting the oil/dirt stains out? Don't want to just jump in and dump a bunch of chemicals on it. WD40 and Brake Cleaner are the two most effective products for many stains. That said some stains will not come out. If you are able to get it clean and want to keep it that way this product works well http://www.armstrong.com/flooring/f...esilient-floor-finish-s-391/product-88081.asp

Question 2. How do u guys hold this type of flooring down. Pulling the mats from the sellers garage he had some type of double sided tape. Anyone know where to get this? The product is designed to be a floating floor. Depending on the condition and how it was rolled for transport it should lay flat. If you want to secure it at the front edge use 3M #80 spray adhesive

Question 3. If cleaning does not work. Any clue if I can paint over it?

I have never tried and would not think that any paint is going to stick all that well.
