Does anyone have any experience with the G Floor rubber mats that come in larger sizes. I am thinking about getting a pair for my home garage to cover the painted concrete floor. They are about $250 per car and I worry about them curling or becoming a tripping hazard. Are they a good product? Thank you

I have two large rubber mats...not G Floor and they don't curl at all...takes a week before they lay flat. Ihave had one for 3 years and the other is new this year. Keeps the painted floor from becoming slipper when wet (if you have that problem).

I did the house garage with it about 6-8 months ago. Works pretty good, when you leave the door open it kind of wrinkles up a little and the tires stain it also. I have not tried cleaning it yet weather has been too cold and I hibernate in the winter.
It will also curl up if you turn the wheels on it but it does fall right back into place. Overall I am happy with it seems to make the garage a little warmer and less slippery. They do make a glue that will keep it from curling and is supposed to be easy to clean up but I opted not to use it because I wasn't sure how I was going to like it.

I have a 7.5 x 14 in one bay and a 8 x 22 in the other. You do need to put something under your jack stands if you have the ones like I do with sharp bottoms. I cut up some old rugs for pads...plywood will work too. They clean up pretty well by pulling them into the drivewaye and washing them with a stiff broom and some car soap. CAUTION! If you turn your wheels AFTER you have stopped it will drag the mat with the wheels.

I bought two of the 7.5' x 20' (model GF720) G-Floor mats at Sam's Club a few years ago.
They are pretty nice for the "daily driver" bay of the garage, but like others mentioned not the best for a "working" garage. They have small ribs that run the length (or width, your choice of placement....but it makes them a lot easier to sweep off if aligned towards the garage door) of them that makes kneeling less than comfortable.
They clean up pretty well, and even though they do pick up stains (mine are a blue-grey color) protect the concrete from salt and slush in our messy Michigan Winters.
In short, there are better products but I think they are pretty decent for the price.

The G-Floor garage floor mat is a great product and I have sold it for years. I am surprised to see the comments about it being OK for the daily driver but not for the workshop or industrial applications.
The Garage floor mats from BLT come in commercial and industrial grades. We've sold the product to a publicly owned oil company for their rig and they keep coming back for more --over 30K worth last year. We've also sold to one of the largest American steel companies and they keep coming back as well. We just sold some in an airline hanger. You just need to watch which grade and which pattern you buy.
55 Mil Ribbed or Levant is a residential grade product.
75 Mil Commercial Grade is available in ribbed, coin or diamond
85 Mil Industrial grade is available for trailers or garage floors in 9' widths only and only comes in black or Grey.
We had the 75 Mill commercial grades in our warehouse for years before we moved.
If you absolutely need something thicker there are industrial grade garage floor tiles on the market with 50,000 pound roll over ratings!

There is no need to apologize to me. When you consider that the product is a PVC and not rubber I think the price is very fair. Also when you consider that most websites have included shipping (which runs $50 - $100 per mat and up) I think that also makes the mats a better value. I don’t think many people realize how expensive it is to ship a 10’ roll weighing 154 pounds.
Now if cheap is what you seek, there are a handful of companies like Sam’s Club who take the mat and fold it up and scrunch it into a small box. They save a fortune on shipping so the mats are less expensive.
In my professional opinion this creates an installation nightmare and I would gladly pay the extra money for a mat that is rolled. One other thing is that the manufacturer http://www.bltllc.com has instituted a MAP pricing program.
The bottom line for me is that the average homeowner can cover his garage in less than an hour for under $1.50 per Sq. Ft. (standard grade 2-10x22 mat from garagefloor.com) .

The (2) G-Floor sections we got at Sam's Club came as 7.5' rolls, not folded into a box. They are the thinnest spec, listed as 50mil (+/- 5 mil as a tolerance). The main reason I moved them into the "everyday" garage was due to the ribs being uncomfortable to work on for long periods. We put Kiwi Tile in the "working" bay, and it is much more comfortable and can take a beating to boot. The ribs on the G-Floor do exactly what they are designed to do, channel debris and liquids so they can be swept out later....which works perfectly for our Michigan Winter salt slush that falls from the fenderwells once parked in the garage.
