I am considering just doing some G-Floor to make a parking pad for 2 vehicles. Not going wall to wall just for where the cars go

1) Can anyone tell me if this is OK over a slab with no vapor barrier underneath?
2) Anyone have pics of this kind of setup?
3) Anyone who has this setup - how do you like it, particularly the edges. I wish the mats would taper at the edges but I guess that isn't the case
4) Any experience cutting this stuff straight? None of the stock sizes are workable for me, I have to cut no matter what - any tips?

Many thanks!

I have a G-Floor mat in one stall of a 3-car garage w/no vapor barrier. No issues.
The edges are not a problem once the mat flattens out, but that might take awhile.
I didn't make any cuts.

I have the G-Floor product in my own garage. It is wall to wall. Lots of people do the installation you are referring to. Please see my comments below.

We have a gentleman from Florida right now who states he is having a moisture related issue with his mats. We have thousands of people who don't. If I was installing mats over a untreated concrete, I would use TrueLock B4 first as it will densify and reduce water coming up through the concrete, but it is far from a negative side waterproofer. The issue is this. The mats are PVC. Same stuff your pipes are made of. I you have water coming up through your floor it will hit the mat and stop and that area can stay wet. I've sold the product since 2001, its really not an issue but it can happen.

3) Anyone who has this setup - how do you like it, particularly the edges. I wish the mats would taper at the edges but I guess that isn't the case.

You are talking about a base thickness of 55 Mils to 75 Mils. That is 55/1000th to 75/1000th of an inch. There is nothing there to taper. In fact the tapered edge pieces can have a higher lip than the mat itself.

Please watch our video on this. The person you see cutting is my wife. She is a school teacher by trade and had never installed the product. T Square and straight edge come in very handy.
