G. M. Co. tool kit can anyone identify this?

I happened upon this set on ebay the other day . The seller stated that the sockets say G. M. Co. and thats all he can tell me . Thought it might be an interesting conversation peice.

Google a web site called Alloy Artifacts Tool History page. They have alot of info on Indestro Tools and a sister company Duro Tool plus many of the early American tool companies. A good read if you are into that stuff.
