Gabel Vent Fan?

The building has one vent on each side and I am trying to figure out a way to put fans on both of them to get rid of some heat during the summer. I use a drum fan when I'm in there, but when I'm not, I need a way to exhaust heat out of the vents. Mine look like these and are the same size.http://www.amazon.com/Shed-Louvered-Exhaust-Playhouse-Chicken/dp/B00658OJDU/ref=sr_1_sc_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1431632329&sr=8-6-spell&keywords=shed+gabel

I was thinkin about some electric fans that are used for automotive radiators, etc with some sort of temperature switch so they can be turned on and off without me having to do it manually.

I also looked at this..http://www.amazon.com/Cool-Attic-CX1500-Power-Ventilator/dp/B000LNII4Q/ref=pd_sim_sbs_60_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1EYS6A5Z0HKMKD82QGYV The buidling is only around 400-500 sq.ft so one may be enough.

Let me know iy you have do something like this or have any suggestions. Thanks

I have more questions than answers.
Your favorite box store sales themostatic controled fans for this purpose. Some even have electric louvers. How big is your building? Match the CFM to the building size. Not sure I would put one on both ends. Try to pull from the shade side to hot side. Do you have other venting in the attic? I put a power shut off down in the garage so I can shut it off if I need to.

I don't think you want a fan in each gable especially with no other venting. They'd be pulling against each other for air. One fan in one gable to pull air from the opposite gable, into then out of the garage. Homer Depot sell gable fans with thermostats as well as louvers that open and close with airflow.

I have 3 gable fans in different areas of my house/attic and garage. Pic below is my garage (not finished, as you can see). I open a door on the opposite side of the garage, turn the fan on (I have this one attached to a timer switch, the other 2 are on thermostats) and get a good breeze flowing through. Works well.

good thread, I'm planning on a fan on the back side of my build just to vent the attic space its a vaulted ceiling so there is not a lot of space. I've been looking at solar powered as it will only be needed when the sun is out

I once had an upstairs vaulted area with 612 sq/ft of space that I used an automatic poultry fan to keep cool during the hot part of the day. I also added a high temperature switch to shut down the fan if ever there was a fire, you don't want a fan drawing air into any fire. The only problem was that it raised my electric bill by $30.00 a month.
