Galvalume or white metal ceiling?

I want to do a metal ceiling in my garage. From the pictures I've seen, it looks really good. Only thing I can't decide on is if I want galvalume or white in color.

I've heard a few people say the galvalume will eventually show rust spots and gets dull and dirty looking. But I also hear it reflects lots of light...is all this true? Can anyone share their experience?

I called a few places and the white panels are more expensive...i like the galvalume look but I don't want to deal with the issues I read if they are true.

Pictures of your setups would also be helpful.

Thanks!

White looks better in my opinion and will reflect the same amount of light. Either one will get dirty and dull looking in a working shop after 20-30 years, unless you clean it once in a while.

Most metal is galvalume and then painted.

For a liner in an insulated shed I doubt it will rust in 30 years or so. Seen heavy galvalume panels outside go that long before showing significant rust.

However white will reflect much more light and promote a better lit shop.

The galvalume treatment provides the majority of the protection to the steel from corrosion.

Don't listen to those "few people". "Eventually" everything corrodes.

I'd imagine most people use white or galvalume due to personal preference. I prefer white and used it for the house garage ceiling.

I like the look of Galvalume, but white will give you better light. Indoors, you won't live long enough to see it rust unless you're working with corrosive chemicals.
