Gambrel Roof Span

So this is the year for my garage build.

I have a couple questions so I am going to go through my thoughts and let you guys chime in.

50x60x14 with a gambrel roof. I want to utilize the space above for rec room and storage.

My plan is to split the barn the long way and create a 25x30 work shop. The portion of the shop would be heated. I plan on utilizing I floor radiant and will lay that the entire pad for future.
My main concern is can I use post supports with a header for the remaining 30' of garage as to not create a wall the entire length. I am unsure of the engineering limits of gambrel truss. I am not completely sold on the gambrel as I would consider attic trusses also.

I am going to be reaching out to local contractors early in the spring. I currently have a building tear down and excavation that needs to be completed before they can start work. I utilize the current building for winter storage, but my stuff has grown too vast and I have some of it at outside storage units.

That is a nice gambrel roof truss design, but you still need a strong floor.

My buddy stores hay for his horse "upstairs" in the barn. It uses parallel cord wooden floor joist on 16" centers. His dead load is very high, but very small live load.

For that kind of width, they may use trusses made out of steel.
