Hello, I have made a few posts, however this thread I can really call my own. This thread is meant to serve as an archive of my vintage tools that i have picked up and their respective purchase prices, and also how they came about. By no means is this for bragging. Also this thread will contain lots of pictures, and I know most of the guys (and girls) love pictures.

The format will be each post will be from each sale/ purchase

Your photos are uploaded to your private Google account. You really ought not use a third party image hosting service, where photo albums expire, but rather upload directly to this thread.

Went to garage sales, as I always do on Saturday and had a pretty good day. $89 got me a Porter Cable A-6 guild saw w/ case, 6 hand screw clamps, 3 big ones, 1 medium, and 2 small. 14 Cincinnati 'C' clamps, 2 clamps in front corner, 10 quick clamps, 1x42 belt sander, and Ryobi oscillating spindle sander, I know what you are thinking, but the OSS is actually made in the U.S.A!

What I'm thinking is that I've been in the market for one and can never find them for a reasonable price! Well done!

Brian

Thank you, I think the problem with finding spindle sanders is that they are now gaining popularity for the home market so it is hard to find a nicer used one, besides a Boice-Crane or other industrial equivalent. One draw back of the Ryobi is the table is melamine, so there is a chance of it getting wet and ruined.

Spencer: i can't say i've seen your thread or welcomed you to GJ yet so let's take care of both now. WELCOME to the forum.

i like your thread and i'll check in to see what you have found because you shop like i do in old garages, barns and craigslist and whereever you can find old tools.

also if you want to go in your GJ profile and put in your area you might be surprised the trade offers you might receive or so we know where we won't find any tools after you've left a sale. also click on AVATAR and put in a picture that will appear like my Bison made of scraps and old tools. you can change your AVATAR as often as you like or leave it the same to other members can see your when you post and know who you are.

good luck in your new finds and thanks for sharing.
