I'm installing garagedeck tiles and noticed the 1/16" gap between all the tiles. Is this normal?

It is hard to tell what is going on with the floor. Is there anything on top of the floor right now?

In modular flooring you must have a gap for two reasons - The 1st being expansion and contraction tolerance and the 2nd is to allow the sub- floor to breath.

The gaps seem bigger than usual in the photos? as almost if it were being pulled to maxinum contraction. The entire floor needs to be installed, trimmed and climate settled ( a few hours) prior to putting back heavy materials on top of it. It is always best to place everything back on a floor at the max heat of the day.
Feel free to call and we will walk you through step by step...

There is nothing on top as it isn't finished. The floor is flat and I sweeped it before laying down the tiles. I checked all other tiles that are still in boxes and they all seem to have these gaps. The gaps with the Garagedeck are bigger than the gaps with the Racedeck, XL which I have a couple of samples. Anyone with Garagedeck having similar problem?

Hi
Please send me an email with the information that is on the label of the box. I will see if we have an issue. my email is [email protected] or call me at 1.877.244.2214 and ask for Michelle. I can not look up your information from this forum info.
Where are you located? How cold is the garage or area the tiles are being stored and how much of the floor have you installed?

Whatever the case, we will figure it out. The tolerances between each of the brands we carry are different. The RaceDeck you mention is a different patent lock system that is a bit tighter than the GarageDeck or GarageTrac.

Have a nice weekend
