Hi all,
Been loving the help I get here. Reading lots, and on the questions I've had so far, great help! I did search for this, and I've watched a lot of videos, but see different results so I wanted to ask.
I have been backfilling a large hole with 7/8 GA to bring my grade up where I need it. This week, I got to the height of my Mono pad footings (spec'd at 12", I'm going 16"). I got it relatively flat, compacted and ready to go.
I then built up a 10" pile in the center, which my pad will sit on. 6" pad. Using the laser, I made sure it was lower than 6" everywhere, but close. Raked and compacted as flat as I could.
Installed my 2" insulation, but now that the seams are taped, I can really tell there are some low spots and it flexes when I walk.
TL;DR - my insulation flexes when I walk on it, should care?
Big deal? Concrete will weigh it down? or tear it out and flatten the pad perfectly?
