Garage addition recommendations????

Hi fellas, I'm new here (love the site) & would really like to here some thoughts on a new addition I'm looking at!
I have a 30x40x10 pole barn with a concrete floor, radiant heat, sliding door (yeah I know--I hate it too!), it's NOT insulated and finally a small office inside.
Prior to this year it was a "working" shop for a race car, we have since gotten out of the racing hobby & have decided to restore a car or 2.
I'd like to insulate this thing (thinking polyurethane spray-on foam insulation), swapping the slider for an overhead, add a 2 post lift and finally finishing the side walls (after insulated). All that sounds pretty simple BUT I'd also like to add a "guys hangout" where I could have a TV, pool table maybe, my diecast collection etc...It'd be cool to have a loft but the 10 ft sidewalls won't permit that on the inside, the idea has come up about just adding on to a sidewall but I'm still kinda hung on going UP with some kinda loft! The MGF does not recommend adding additional weight to the trusses SO I'd love to get some ideas from you guys!
I have pleny of room to go any direction.
Thanks!!!

Thanks, I can get a pic tonight.
The pic I'm including is not mine BUT nearly identical, about the only difference is I have a slider door.
As I said, I thought about a ground level addition to the north but my wife is apposed to that idea because our house is no more than 20 yards north of my shop & it would look clustered. To the South I have a corn field, to the west is 10 yards & then a shelter belt, to the East is a 20 ft concrete slab & then rock driveway.
I was brainstorming today & now I'm thinking maybe I should kick around modifying our 2 car house garage BUT I think I'd be on the couch! haha

Get out a can opener.:shocking::shocking:

Cut the roof off, get a crane and lift it off.

Build your floor and new second story and crane the roof back on.

You shouldn't have to much trouble on color matching seeing it's a newer building.:):)

If you don't like the can opener idea I have another one, but, you''l have to find a board stretcher.

I'd add on to the side and use a single sloped roof vs a hip roof. Cut a door in to it, and add a few windows so you can see from the addition into the shop. It will be cheaper to go out than to go up.

Some good ideas, thanks guys. Yeah the 2 post will be a challege, a contractor friend of mine has some ideas to modify a truss. Rancherbill hit it pretty good with his drawing.
colin-roberts, that's likely what were gonna end up with if we don't go up.
The slab is connected to shop floor and the slider leads to the slab...it's just a drive way.
The final idea is to do something similar to the pic I'm attaching (finished product except that the doors WOULD NOT be on the side). You'd still be looking at ripping the roof in 1/2 & then the existing trusses become useless.
