Saw this in Harbor Freight the other day. I didn't have time to get a close look at it, though. Anybody else know anything about it?

I have used it. The press fit fittings are really poor quality. I work with that type of fitting in smaller sizes like 5/16, 1/4, and 1/8 inch so I have some experience.

The rest of the items are ok but I bought my press fittings from a local parker store.

The problems I had with the fittings is the insertion depth is short and the blue tubing is extremely stiff and has a bad memory of the bend it is stored in. Plus the things inside the fittings that grip the tubing is very weak and once damaged will not hold the tube and create a good seal.

The stuff is cheap though. It is a good way to get some tubing and the manifold blocks are not bad.

I don't see the point in a setup like that. If you're going to be that cheap/that low volume of air, you don't need a "kit". All you need is a few air hoses. That is a terrible price on really bad air hose with cheesy fittings.

Go to your favorite DIY store, pick out your favorite pipe (anything but PVC) and run some simple lines with $0.50 fittings. It will look better, work better, and probably cost less.

Personally I'm moving my compressors out to my barn, and installing air drops in my main shop. I'll use a 100' roll of 3/4" PEX ($25) and maybe six drops with 1/2 copper @ $8.88 per peice. Add a couple extra bucks for fittings, and that's a full size industrial air setup for almost the same price.

Also from China Freight I'm sure all those valves will soon learn to leak, as will all those push in tube fittings. I don't hesitate to buy a chinese air compressor from HF, but the first thing I do is rip off all the chinese plumbing.

Both are Chinese made. And by the same company. Sometime the HF is a bit cheaper, but still less expensive than the Eastwood stuff.
Yeah, not everything at harbor freight is a "knock off". A lot of what HF sells can be found exactly the same with different brand names at higher end stores for more money.
