So I hate knowing that I am breathing in bad fumes. Whether it be soldering gas or brake cleaner, I simply hate it. I would love to one day incorporate a full garage "air extraction cleaner" so to speak that you could turn on with a switch.
Think of it this way: Your wire wheeling an axle and getting all kinds of carb cleaner and dirt in the air, and around your lungs. Go over to the wall, flip the switch, and all that air is sucked up through the roof and put outside! Now your not breathing in as much bad air as you were before!
At work, we have an overhead that we use above the stove / grill unit. When its on, all the smoke/ steam/ fumes are sucked up. Cool thing is, you can even feel a strong vacuum coming from the unit, but the air "tornadoes" immediately after leaving the pot.
Are there any kits out there, or what are yalls thoughts? Just curious to see what yall can come up with. Mabye something like a paint booth woudl have- just not as elaborate??
Edit: Mods if you could move this to General Discussions I woudl appreciate it. Sorry for the wrong section.
