Hi there everyone. Looking high and low for something I’m
Starting to think doesn’t exist, what I’m looking for is a garage alarm
System that has some sort of pager or tablet etc that I can put on the nightstand if someone were to break in it would beep and alert me. I know they make car alarms with pagers. There has got to be something on the market for a garage. Anyone know of anything?

Look at Wyze and Ring. I know they have some stuff and you’ll get a notification on your phone or tablet.

I have Ring alarm in my garage, it's great, it does exactly what you are looking for but you need wi-fi in your garage for it to work.

i would do the Ring alarm, shoot even a simple ring indoor camera. it would ping your phone app anytime it detected motion based on your settings. i use one in my driveway. so i know when anyone is coming in my drive. i get a notice, and can pull up camera and look and see who, what, etc. does require a membership to STORE motion recordings, but without you can look live and as long as you acknowledge the notice you can look at what is happening NOW, but nothing is saved.

there are also cheaper alternatives out there. eufy is one and is very popular with high ratings.

I have an alarm system but the problem has always been making sure it's on when I leave. Then also making sure I don't trip it when I get home and open a door to park the car. I've never tried one hooked up to the phone so I have a hard time telling if it's actually on or off. I have a key fob set up on it. I'm thinking about switching systems anyway.

I just bought lorex cameras for my house and garage with built in sirens and led lights. Hopefully they do the trick.

I use an Arlo camera in the garage set up with motion and audio detection. Works really well. It sends a notification to your phone.

I use Ring for house & garage and have been happy with it. Have a contact sensor on the man door, a motion detector on the wall and a camera that covers the man and 3 garage doors. As previously mentioned you will need wi-fi signal in the garage.

As much as I hate Amazon and Cloud based devices, and I think they are huge invasion of privacy, the Ring devices do work as advertised without issue

I have one at my front door and can't find a replacement that actually works as well. I don't care since I never use my front door anyone so I'm never on it

Why not just a simplisafe system with the base station inside the house, or a separate alarm inside the house?

We added a handful of sensors to our shop (extra alarm siren, door entry, motion, & 2 smoke alarms) with no issue. Shop is at least 150 feet through most of the house structure, no issues with communications.

Another RING user here; both at work and at home. 18 months, 6 cameras, zero issues. APP is good quality with ease of use.

Seconding a basic SimpliSafe system. Easy to install, deals available with a free camera, it will alert, sound a siren, send you a still picture from the camera so you can verify it's a legit alert. All for about $200 for a sale package.
