My garage is mostly a man cave. I am tossing the idea around of building a bar in it. Does anyone have a bar in their garage or basement. I would appreciate some pictures so I can get some ideas. Thanks in advance!!

Mine is not nearly as nice as Brats.....dude....that is really nice....

But this is what I have going.....just need time to pick up the diamond plate to put around the base.....

Yes....that is granite.....helps keep down clutter.....I tend to only put papers on it....great place for my kids to do homework....or for me to rest a beer....

Lol. You have granite slab and saying it's not that nice???? WTF. It's awesome. I actually found the granite tiles next to someones garbage on my way to work a few years ago. 5 boxes of them IN the wrapper, being thrown away. I nearly drove into a tree! Rich people......

You could use the fake plastic kind which is FAR cheaper than the aluminum kind & as it will most likely be glued to that plywood it will be solid.

Have you seen how much that cheap **** is? About $5/sq foot...I can get a 4x8 sheet, 1/8" for about $90....AL is about $120....

Very cool! Is that an autographed picture of "The Soup Nazi"? :dunno:

I had a nice man-cave basement when I lived up in Chicagoland, however since moving to Florida, my man cave is now split between my garage and my outdoor lanai. I will post pics someday...

Mine's a SODA bar, but still a bar! Fully operational 1940's Bastian-Blessing soda fountain in the garage. Stocked with three flavors of ice cream, six toppings and six flavors of syrup for mixing with the carbonated water to make sodas.

Where the hell did you find that??

It came out of an old drug store in a nearby town. The guy that I bought it from had it stored in an old barn. It took a bit of effort to get it polished and a lot of research to make it operate correctly, but now it's a blast at garage parties. If you ever get to my area of West Virginia, PM for directions and stop by for a root beer float! Here are pics of a few friends stopping by for ice cream a couple weeks ago.

you make them take their shoes off? lol

No, actually they had been dancing (sock hop style) to some 50's tunes on the jukebox shortly before I took the pic. Shoes are allowed (and encouraged) in the garage. Here's a pic of them dancing.

I built this L-shaped wet bar using oak kitchen cabinets from Lowe's. I framed the back of the cabinets up with 2x4's and covered the frame with oak plywood and then finished the joints with 1/4" oak craft board to make it look like raised panel cabinetry. The hardest part was the top. I joined 1x4 oak boards with a biscuit joiner and fastened the top to the backsplash using 2" aluminum L-stock. The counter top is just Formica covered, but it looks like granite. My wood working skills are minimal at best and I think it turned out pretty decent. I still need to put a finish on it, but it's functional the way it is, so there's not much incentive to finish it

I am building a biker bar in my garage. Which is really just the **** I always planned on putting in a basement bar. Going to do some kind of shelf near the ceiling to display various things. Steins, old parts, ect

I wish I had room for a actual bar. But what I am going to do is put somewhat nice wood top on the 8' bench I built. I may do 2x6s of some kind of wood, and then stain and bunch of coats of poly on top. I got a pole barn right next to the garage for non bike and tool stuff, and more benches.

Going to put in plywood ceiling. Thinking light stain.

I've got a 12-14" round piece of birch, that I picked up from wear they were logging. Going to chissel or burn a my bar name into it.

Picked up some green and gold, Christmas lights on sale a few years ago. Got my old 27" TV to put out there.
