Looking for a more finished look to my garage walls. I dont care for how it looks where the drywall meets the footing. Any suggestions on how to trim this out? Its not an area that gets wet.

Vinyl base comes in many colors and a couple heights...also with and with out a cove base. Its simple to glue up with a troweled on adhesive and notched putty knife. You can see samples at a commercial flooring supply house.

Depending on how high it its, vinyl cove base looks nice, you can get it 4 and 6 in high. Something else I have done before is ceramic or some other type of tile.

PVC trim boards. You can find them at Home Depot. I believe they come in widths up to 12 inches. More pricey than PT but you won't need to paint it unless you want a color other than white.

I think that would look the best in this scenario.

To the op, are you planning on doing a floor coating? If so I would just use the same stuff on the block and caulk the seam as mentioned ^^

Yes I plan on having the floor epoxied. So install the moulding so it covers the seam but it would be off the floor? Then paint the block to match the floor?

You could start with 1x4 pine, and cut it/plane it to desired size, if the ledge is wide enough. Then paint it .

I used Sheetrock cutoffs, usually utilizing pieces of scrap. Figure 4.5" wide strips cut from the bullnose edge. Painted it a contrasting color and glued on with silicon caulk.

I would go this way and you can find this trim in other colors, I have seen Brown, Tan, and Gray.

You can caulk the gap between the drywall and the ceoncrete and then paint the footing.

You can also use the vynal base molding

I'm a primitive I suppose, but I used 1x6 Trex boards, screwed to the plate with deck screws. They'll probably still be there when the house is bulldozed. I don't like PT in interior areas where I'm actually spending time.

I can't remember if I trimmed the bottoms square or not...
