Garage Baseboard Trim Options

Hi all,
I had my garage coated in epoxy/flake and polyaspartic top coat today and it looks great. What doesn't look great is the unsightly transition between the wall and the floor. The rim plate (I think that's what it is called) is exposed but in many places it protrudes 1/2" to 1" away from the wall, making putting a normal baseboard like I would inside, impossible. I am looking for options for both material to use for the baseboard, and how to use it to accommodate the rim plate sticking out, so it can look more finished off. I have attached pictures for consideration.

Also, could anyone recommend a good caulk/ silicone product for this to put in the cut lines ?

I'd paint that section black. Tape it off and go to town

Paint it grey and use 1x4 PVC trim

Use the knockoff trex decking for baseboard trim

I use painted 1x3 fir, with the outer exposed corner cut off at a 45 degree angle so it doesn't dent as much when bumped. This width fully covers both the sill plate and the sheetrock gap, and provides a bumper to keep things away from the sheetrock when work benches or woodworking equipment is pushed all the way up against it.

This approach will occasionally need to have the paint touched up, but it looks a lot better than raw sheetrock that has suffered the same level of abuse.

My sheetrock is relatively flush to the sill plate, so nothing else is needed on the backside of the baseboard. Yours appears tho have the sill plate exposed perhaps 1/8" - hard to tell - so you might need to make a couple more passes on your table saw to accommodate this and leave the top of the trim flush to the sheetrock with no gap.

Too late now but you could have have epoxy’d it. Like others said paint it grey. Azek for baseboard if you like it.

I used 1X4 cedar for my baseboard and took it all off and numbered it when they did my floor so they could get to the wall, then put it back on a week later.
