Yes, I have a commercial urinal and toilet in my garage bathroom with a laundry tub (shop sink) with hot/cold water and a refrigerated drinking fountain just outside the bathroom. You will love having a bathroom in the garage!
My shop is just the 2-car attached garage. I have a full bath on the hall to the house from the garage, & the laundry is across the hall from the bath. Plenty of room, and no bringing-into the house dirty clothes, they go into the laundry.
your pic may not be a legal way to run the pipe in your area, I know it wouldn't pass here. you should check your local codes to see what is allowable. your local code is what dictates the proper way for your location not the inaccurate opinions on the internet
I second the stand up urinal in the shop. I have that and a regular toilet, just cleaner using the stand up. I sit down maybe once a year in the shop. TMI

Man, I'm envious of you guys. I have to stand up behind my garage, not really a problem. But it seems every time I get out there and start on something, I got to walk a WHOLE 30' back in to have a seat. TMI yet?
In my detached garage I've got a half bath with a laundry tub for the sink. Small 6 gal electric 120v water heater to have warm water. Very nice to have the toilet inside garage, and having the sink to clean up before going back into the house. I recommend putting a half bath in, I was hesitant and now and quite happy I decided to do it, even withe the additional cost and plumbing/sewer requirements.
