Built my 40X60 garage with a 16 X 36 lean-to on the side 3 years ago. It has two 4 post lifts, mig, stick and oxy acet welders, lathe, drill press, metal cutting band saw, anvil, cherry picker engine hoist, bench grinder, cleaning tank many jacks and jack stands and all manner of hand tools for mechanical and body work and tool boxes galore. The other night I was thinking what more do I want in it tool wise. so here is a start.
Metal shear and brake
English wheel
Bridgeport Milling machine
Tig welder
Edge and bead roller
sturdy portable spray booth
Bead blaster

I'm sure there is more but that is all that comes to mind, thought that some items on others lists would give me more ideas.. Retired now so I have twice the time and half the money..

I fool around with classic Mustangs and hot rods, so most things are geared with that in mind.

What does your bucket list look like??

The lean-to is now enclosed, I'll try to take better PICS of the interior, 10'4" walls, half sissor truss 5/12 pitch outside, 3/12 inside 15' clrnc in center. all wiring in metal conduit

1950's alemite work station(for me to restore), nice bandsaw, nice drill press, lots of vintage oil, gas, and automotive signs, 2 stage compressor, tig welder, and plasma cutter. I would be in heaven! :)

got a snowblower, a Bronco with a plow and a tractor with a scraper blade, my driveway is about 100 yds long. This was only a 6" snowfall, last winter was the killer, snowed about Dec 15th and the ground was white till April and it never got warm in that period so all the snowed stayed, by the end of winter I had no place to put the new snow..

When I did my lean-to I used sheets of (what's called air-frame) plastic. It is fiber reinforced, quite heavy and yet easy to roll up as needed. Keeps snow off my truck, the reason for the lean-to!

Lots more light.....it looks like your just using a few incandescents.....I would put in at least 8 2-bulb fl fixtures.

Guess you don't need a bathroom....walk outside and water the trees....

More storage......

And how about some pics of you mustangs.....nice 'work in progress' collection you have going on....

2 things for right now

A lift, not sure what kind whether 2 or 4 post. My radiant is set for a 2 post but a 4 post I don't have drill would be cool also. My problem is I want to be able to lift 1 ton PUs so I need a heavy lift and they're expensive. I really want the lift to work on my Mustang though.

2nd thing would be another lean to off the west side of my shop, that might happen this summer. Really need the space for my tractor and other yard equipment. Should be able to do that pretty cheaply. The gravel base is all in, just need to pour a small pad for a base and put up the structure, few thousand bucks maybe?

I want to build a lean-to like that, but closed in...so more of an addition....for dirty work (primer/sanding/painting). Mrs E-tek says YES - right after I reno the bed/bath/walk-in....

Trust me when all the lights are on it is enough with 17 100 what eqiv. lights , the work area of the shop is in the rear, the front was never intended for projects just parking and that is why there is only 4 lights
..The bathroom is plumbed out in the right front of the garage, will be completed this summer.
Few other things to mention I two put pull points in the floor to straighten frames etc, the middle lift is a Bendpac 12K the one the Mustangs are on is a HD9. Maybe in the future I will put in a 2 post next to the other two, the slab is set up for it, but for the most part the 4 posts work for me

As to the Mustangs, both are completely restored, except for exterior paint and body work, which hopefully I'll get done this year. The '67 is a S code 390 4 speed, the '65 289 4 speed. As to storage the whole flat ceiling area is avail for storage also, this is my dream garage close to my house I also have a modern construction barn that is 104' X 24' that is big enough to store things without cluttering up my work space. Stores all the future project cars, tractor, snowplow etc

forgot about the plasma cutter on the bucket list, it is on it now...
