So I am starting to get idea of what it will cost to do a 24 x 30 garage with loft. I am starting with the first draft drawings that include site drawings. I realized that the best way to do this is to hire a architect and I did. So it is approx 24 x 30 (720 sq ft) foundation. So first off this has a grade of 790' so he will have to dig into a slight hill that levels out. I do not know what the 790' line on the site drawing means and assume it means grade. Some other notes on the drawing state (8" poured conl. fdtn wall). He did not put height but said they can step in down to the front. The architect said that I would not need a retaining wall. For the footings the measuments state 8' x 20" cont. coung footing with (2) #5 REBAR.) Slab states 4" cong slad over 5 mil vapor barrier on min 8" min gravel base sloped to doors. So this being said, I have had a concrete contractor who has seen the property state that is would be around 9000 to do. I will get more quotes of course. Can you guys give me suggestions and opinions of cost and what I need to look for. My arch. stated that he said it would be around 50 yrd of concrete. Not sure if he is right.

That's a pretty accurate quote.I'm just south of Dayton. GBR did my concrete work and i was very pleased with their work. Minimum depth for footing around here is 34"
