Hello from sunny Florida.
I have been dreaming of a detached garage for years now, but I think it may actually happen this year. I am wanting to build a 30 X 40, but with set backs etc, I may downsize to 24 X 36.
Does anyone have any recommendations for garage builders in east central Florida (Brevard County)?
My most recent estimate was from Master Garage builders. (see below).
We're only engineered for 12' tall walls, however our best combination to get your height would be to go with 10'-2x6 walls with 7/12 pitch scissor trusses.
The price for the 24'x36' Gable like you've described (built in Brevard County) is $35,600, which includes the concrete monolithic slab, set up, labor, building permit, and tax. That price also includes 10'-2x6 walls, 7/12 pitch scissor trusses, Hardiboard fiber cement siding (lap, stucco, or vertical) or vinyl siding, one 16'x7' or two 9'x7'steel overhead door(s), one 36" entry door, and one 3x3 thermal pane window.
I believe I can also order this building in kit form but have not gotten an estimate for that yet.
I have gotten a couple other estimates on metal buildings (Tyson adn MBMI) but need to get new ones as they were both 30X40. I would prefer to build out of block and am waiting to hear back from the builder of our home to see if they will give me an estimate as well.
