I'm getting ready to retire within the next year and am building a house just outside of Jacksonville Fl. I'm putting a 24 x 24 attached to the house but want to build a 30 x 40 shop behind it. I currently have a 24 x 36 shop at my current house and like others have found it's too tight working on a vehicle front to back. I'm going to talk with my builder about building the shop but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of anyone else. I'd rather have a wood building but have been looking at metal also to save some $$$$.
My plan is 10' walls with scissor trusses on half for clearance using the lift. I'd rather use the 10' walls because of keeping with the look in the subdivision.
