My friend the locksmith and I were bored one day so he handed me two picks and told me to have at a masterlock. it took about 30 minutes the first time, but by the end of the night i could, blindfolded find th elock on the ground by my feet put it behind my back and pick it in about 30sec.

It's seriously, disturbingly easy as long you hva ethe right tool and someone to show you how to use it.

Locks, especially on a shop or garage will keep out a lot of would be thieves, if they break a window or break down a door, it will be quickly found. If they simply walk thru an unlocked or easily opened door, carry out some stuff and close up, the crime might not be discovered for days.

I used to work with a guy who kept his push mower behind his shed under an upside down wheel barrow. Someone stole it during the winter, and as they had put the wheel barrow back in place, propped against the shed, he didn't notice it was gone till he needed it in the spring.
