Hey guys, I was told about this site from another member of svtperformance where I had this posted and he suggested to post it here. Great forum so far and looking forward to being a part of it. :)

Post:

Well my 30x32' garage was getting cluttered yet I had a lot of unused space so decided to build some cabinets. It took me 5 days but pretty happy with the turn out.

16' long x 10' tall and 2' wide. Used 2x4x10, 2x2x8 and 1/2" plywood G1S. I don't have too much experience building with wood but I'm learning.

Good straight forward utility cabinets, but you may later wish to add some stiffening strips to the inside of the larger doors if needed.

Nice! What kind of hose reel is that and how do you like it?
. Mastercraft. The locking mechanism broke after the first month but lifetime warranty so replaced it.

Nice, my problem is the more space I make the more **** I hang on to.
lol I hear you.

Thanks I'll keep an eye if needed. :)

You may want Paint or "varnish" the interior of the doors. They will be less likely to warp due to seasonal changes in humidity.

I ran out of time on my days off to paint them, but will be painting them black my next days off.

Decided on building 1 more cabinet to house the toolbox and utilize the storage space above. Also decided on building my sat radio and stereo into it. *I just wanted to see how that red border would look. I'm re-painting it black or silver. For my amateur skills im happy with the turnout. :)

Nice job on the cabinets! They look great and will no doubt be used a lot. However, I do have a comment to make on something I noticed in the pictures.

I could dead wrong on this, but I had thought "hiding" the circuit breaker panel inside a cabinet was not allowed. I thought it had to be out in the open and no obstructions within so many inches of it.

Thanks.... Yes I think it's within 6" and shouldn't be completely sealed or something like that. This meets both of those guidelines. :)

I am not an electrician and I certainly don't know everything there is to know about the electrical code, but I thought I had read somewhere an electrical panel was supposed to be more like 30 inches from any obstructions rather than 6 inches and was supposed to be visible and not hidden. But like I said, I am not an electrician and I could all wrong on this.
