I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum here but I need to grab some cabinets for my shop. I run a small hvac business out of the pole barn behind my house. I'm looking for some wall cabinets and maybe a tall floor cabinet. Im looking to store parts like capacitors contactors small parts etc that keep on an open shelf currently. Looking to clean things up a bit. Wall cabinets I currently have were some used ones from someones old kitchen that currently house fasteners, aerosol cans, cleaning products etc.

i was looking at the gladiator cabinets. I probably don't need to go with their premier line as they wont see a ton of weight but I dont want something that will fall apart in 5 years either. Any input? They have a sale ending today that I'm going to try and take advantage of.

Unless you have a lot of bulk space to populate, i caution against overdoing it on store-bought solutions.

I've moved many cabinets many several times now because I keep getting better space efficiency with shelving and cubbyholes I make from lumber and plywood to hold bins, boxes, and totes.

I had four Gladiator premier wall cabinets, still have two. They are definitely much better. Rigid, sturdier, no assembly time. Easy to hang with the slat strips. I actually prefer drawer cabinets for organizing parts in my shop, the gladiators are in my wash house. Mine are probably 10-15 years old, still look new. Used office type floor cabinets also work, usually $50 to $150 in my area.

I put all my cabinets down one side and left the rest of the garage open. Only got sone floor standing cabinets flanking the main work bench, that was all left from the previous owner.

leaves me more room for bigger toolage that have footprints.
