I have a 24 x 36 three bay detached garage that I'm in the process of insulating and drywalling, so I can heat and cool it while working in it year-round. I'll be opening up the framing in the center bay to create an approximate 12 x 23 pocket that will follow the roof pitch up to accomodate a four post lift. Ceiling height in the pocket will be approximately 13 1/2 feet. The new ceiling dimensions in this pocket will be approximately 12 x 12. I have a monitor heater located along the front wall of the center bay. I anticipate that the heat will go right up into the pocket I've created, so I want to push it down to help it keep the other two bays warm. Trying to determine an appropriate ceiling fan size to perform this job. Any suggestions? Thanks

As far as suggestions go, I'd steer more toward a wall mounted circulator rather than an overhead ceiling fan for two reasons: the ceiling fan will either encroach upon your overhead space when raising a car and/or will need to be tucked up close to the ceiling where it will not move much air.
