Summer is here (at least in socal) and now that i have insulated my garage walls I have noticed that alot of heat is getting in through my garag's ceiling.
I would use the same fiberglass rolls for the ceiling but my trusses are 26" apart and short of cutting the 24" batts length-wise and installing like that, i'm at a loss. I could use foam and cut it to fit inside the trusses (she foil backed ones would help with making the garage brighter) but at almost 20 bucks for a 4x8 sheet i will need about 18 sheets (around 360$) to install the foam pannels between the 2x4 trusses.

Any ideas? What have you done?

sorry i should have included that info.... It's open truss and i'd like to keep it that way. it's all 2x4 construction, thats why i was thinking of the 2 inch thick foam boards but like i said the price is a little high...

Staple chicken wire to the top of the trusses and roll out R1x kraft faced batts on top of that. Or landscape fabric with batts on top.
