The framing inspection is supposed to be complete in the next week. After that comes the drywaller (Ceiling only, I will do the rest). My question is. The attic floor is in and my plan was to place batt insulation underneath the floored part prior to the drywall insulation and then blow in the rest at a later date. The distance between the attic floor and drywall is about 8 inches. I was planning on using 6 1/2 in insulation. Does this sound like the best way to do it? Also the stairway is open to the attic and I was wondering about the efficiency of insulating the attic floor with such a large opening. Pics attached.
