Hey all, recently put a deposit down on a property here in DFW. If you've seen these before they are owned "condos" but garage space, usually have an association and amenities etc...
The unit I bought is from urbangarages.com and this is their 1st venture so they dont have any "models" but if they stick to what the plan is, and what others Ive seen look like it should turn out nice.
My unit is 20x48, will have a concrete floor, and 1/3 of that sq footage will have a loft over head. One main 14x14 door and a smaller entry door. it will be roughed in for bathroom plumbing, have full hvac (heat/ac) and 200amp electrical service.
I currently own a NAT 2 post lift at home I plan to relocate there, and a 2nd one I plan to purchase to add to the new shop.
I own a small business that makes and resells car parts and we'll use this place (upstairs as the office space) and the main level for product development and prototyping etc as well as assembly and storage.
Looking for ideas on Lift placement.
with 48' depth I have some space, but since the loft is 1/3 of the depth, (and unsure of the ceiling height under the loft yet ((still waiting on detailed plans))) i'll need to likely stick to the front 2/3 of the space for lifts and the back 3rd will be the storage etc...
anyone have any bright ideas on lift placement? figure installed width on each lift is approximately 8' so simply side by side will only leave 4' of space total between the walls if mounted if mounted in parallel to the space, i was thinking an angled installation may be workable. Thoughts?
