Yes I have some plans for middle section, but I have to finish some other projects first.

TO ALL

Metal workbench had some rust (hard to see in pictures but old paint was already bubbling), so I decided to disassemble bench.

Metal workbench project was started yesterday, today something completely different.

"Winter is coming."

Couple of photos from my todays car trip. Heavy snowfall during night and early morning, luckily I had changed winter tires yesterday :bounce: Boring car trip to get file cabinet turned to mini-adventure, luckily I was driving to southern Finland (snowfall didn't reach southern Finland). All these photos are taken at our property or very close to it. Nice remote area with fields, forest and lakes.

Mikkeli, That file cabinet usage is great! Have a couple of file cabinets, and been thinking what to use them for. That is an excellent idea! Good work also on the metal workbench.

Jyzze, I've had those Cocraft cabinets (although in blue, that black looks better) for some years, and they have been excellent! The come in offers once in a while, and apparantly are again on offer for 199e, I must say really good value for money!

Price/quality in these Cocraft toolboxes is excellent, you can find better toolboxes but you have to pay LOT more. I'll use my money to the tools, rather than shiny toolboxes.

I put piece of absorbent mat to each drawer, then cleaned carefully each container and can. I might add some kind of divider to one or two drawers to keep spray cans organised and steady.

Thank you! My spray cans and other liquids were stored in several places and I had no idea what cans I already have. I just counted 4 matt black spray paints, all barely used. I think that now I can avoid buying same stuff again and again.

Today is last chance to use LOKA20 code at Clas Ohlson (20% off, 30€ minimum order). That's 159,2€ after 20% off for Cocraft toolbox, really great price.

Yes, it is. Yesterday evening after a couple of beers and checking if payment to my credit card was visible (which it was), I immediately ordered 3 x fatmax organizers

Metal workbench is completed (lock is missing, but is not needed). Looks quite nice together with wooden cabinet and toolbox combo.

I had to cut down quite big tree right next to our attached garage. I forgot to take any "before" picture, but here is final result. I'm relieved to get rid of that old tree, it was in really bad shape.

Here is one aerial picture showing tree still standing without any leaves (big tree in bottom part of picture).

I added small cabinets on top of upper cabinets. But before I could do that I had to re-attach upper cabinets about an inch lower, otherwise doors of small cabinets would have hit ceiling lights.

I also did some maintenance for my Stihl chainsaw.

Toolboxes look great! I’m also hoping for some sales on Black Friday. I’m hoping for a Makita 18v blower to use for blowing sawdust out of the garage.

Beautiful garage in the making, and makita tools, what's not to love ?!
Keep up the good work.

Toon

Thank you, Toon! I'm happy with the renovation results. Before my garage wasn't so nice to use: cold at winter time, no proper lighting, no workbench or cabinets. Now things are quite different.

Let's hope that we can find some good BF sales for our tool needs. I'm looking for multiple tools so I should be able to order at least something with good discount.

Here is couple of photos of attic space above Garage, I decided to install additional lights here. I'm going to use old tube light fixtures from Garage, you can see these already laying on the floor.

This is storage space for some seasonal items, I have to build some storage solutions to get this space in proper use. This is one of my low priority projects, but it took huge step recently. Attic was filled with boxes and other stuff, one of my friends is building new home and needed some storage temporarily. I offered attic space for their use, now attic is mine again

Mik: I just found your thread and love all the cool stuff you are doing and how you are setting up your shop/garage. I'm happy to know that somebody else uses what they have to support cabinets while getting them level to hang.

i'd love to follow along and see what you are up to in your part of the world.

cheers!!

This seems to be a very typical problem with the attics, good space with poor lights or no lights at all. I'm going to do something for this.

Thank you for your kind words! I'll keep posting some updates regularly, comments like this keep me motivated.

That attic Is just perfect place for your own hideout/mancave! ;)

Attic above garage is going to be just a storage space, i already have three hideout/mancaves: Garage, Home Theatre and Gaming room/office.
