That looks great! How would you describe the difference with the soundproofing? Is that a 7-channel amp or does it have some functionality also, as it says dsp in the model? :) Those mids must be a major improvement!

Soundproofing made a huge difference. Vitara is quite cheap car and it shows in things like noise level. I have added soundproofing material in several steps and there is still some locations to do (rear doors and trunk lid, for example). But already I'm impressed with the results.

Amp is 7-channel model with nice DSP-features. You can use PC-software to adjust crossover levels, EQ, phase, etc. There is also database for car specific settings available (settings in my Vitara are based to Skoda Octavia Combi with minor tweaking). DLS mids vs original speakers made a day and night difference.

Here is some pictures of front doors. While I was replacing speakers I also added soundproofing material to front doors.

I found nice place for 2-way crossover units inside door panels.

In order to install "new" mids to front door I had to make adapter rings to avoid front door windows hitting huge magnet of mid speaker while lowering windows.

Nice work on the door insulation and speaker installs. I always hate having to deal with that plastic covering the doors. Doors must have more punch now. I have always thought about replacing that plastic with a thin but strong material, bet the door would work more like a speaker.

I think it's a good idea to do this straight when you get the car. That way you get to enjoy it for a long time, even if you decide to sell the car after some years. It will have been worth the effort.
