Garage design program recommendations?

Anyone have any experience or recommendations on a garage design software. I’m not building a super complicated garage but I’d like to visualize it before I start. Something that I can play around with stud heights, roof structure, door placement, etc.
I saw sketchup? But haven’t tied it yet.
I’m not planning on building tons of buildings so I would like to spend little to free.
Any recommendations would be great, thanks

Sketchup is usually the first choice, it's free and pretty powerful.
Of course, a pencil, ruler and a piece of paper still works.

I used ketchup. Works good and pretty easy to learn.
