We sold the house and are now living in a 1br apt in preparation for the summer move west. With the exception of a few hand tools everything, all my stuf,f is in storage. The house in Ca has no garage, but has a great spot for one. I'm thinking of a two car garage with a side outlet at the head of the car parking area with its own door to accomodate the Kubota and attachments. Past that will be the workshop. Ideally, I'd like a small apt above, but costs get pretty hefty there.

When you look at your current and /or desired space, how much space would you have from the door to the corner? As well, how much between the doors? Door size? I look at the very well organized, "a place for everything and everything in its place" folks and their space and marvel at it. Time and repeated offense has shown that I don't have an organized bone in my body. Suffice it to say that I do debris and want to lay-out for work room on at least one side of the garage and real good clearance between vehicle doors. Much obliged for your assistance.

Welcome to GJ.

When I added the garage on the house, I used 2 block (32") between the doors, along with 9x8 doors. This gave us plenty of room between the vehicles.
