Garage Door advice

I will soon be installing two new garage doors and wanted some other opinions. Both doors will be 12' tall and I have 16' high ceilings. Both doors will be white, 2" thick, insulated, and will have windows. I will have a two post lift placed about 15' back from the garage door. Should I do high or standard lift doors? Should I use commercial or residential doors? I did some searching and did not find any brand to NOT buy so if anyone has a bad quality door story I would like to hear about it. Thanks.

I would do the high lift. Nothing ***** more then having to keep the door shut mid summer because it hangs too low. I don't know much about residential or commercial, sorry on that.

Commercial Doors! Those are pretty tall doors..This way you get heavier Gauge Tracks, Hinges etc. Most door cos will not go that tall with a residential door, I know I wouldn't. I'd recommend High Lift on the door with the Lift, but get a quote on both doors, cheaper to do it now versus later! Good Luck..

Id use commercial doors they seem to much better quality.

Looking at the C.H.I. model 3212 or 3216 commercial doors, anybody have or seen those installed?

I have a commercial Raynor TM175 in one door and am framing in right now for a 10'x16' TM200 that will be installed Friday. Had the TM175 for 5 years and its been great, plus it has its own built in seals around the door and the seals you put on the outside maiking it pretty air tight.
