Garage Door Bottom Seal?

The weather stripping on my garage doors have degraded and I'm getting water into my garage when it rains and blows. The house was built in 1978 and does not have a physical barrier (lip) in front of the door seal.

I've ordered some "Tsunami Seal" stuff that gets glued down to the concrete to provide a physical barrier.

What's the best type of weather stripping to replace the degraded weather stripping attached to the bottom of the garage doors?

Thanks!

Never had good luck with stuff. The adhesive always wears out or fails pretty quick. They do make a composite threshold that will hold up to vehicle traffic that you glue and anchor down. Pretty expensive though

I used Tsunami seal about a year and a half ago and wish I had put it down sooner. My floor crowns in the center and when the wind blew right I'd get a puddle in the garage at one end of the door. I picked up a new seal at a local garage door place and used Liquid Nails on the seal, dry and problem free.

Thanks for the feedback on the Tsunami stuff. It comes with Liquid Nails polyurethane adhesive, which holds up well if I clean the concrete first.

Any recommendations for the stuff to attach to the bottom of the door? Is a lip better than a bubble for sealing against the Tsunami?

Is your door wood or metal! If metal, a lot depends on the make of the door and construction. A picture wouldn't hurt. A lot of design changes since 1978. If it's a wood door your choices are limited.

The doors are not original--they have been replaced. I think they're fiberglass. There is an Aluminum channel on the bottom, and I picked up some replacement weather strip that hopefully will fit. Will post pics tomorrow.

I just replaced the weather strip on the bottom of my door and had to replace the aluminum channel as well. All the weather strip sold locally seemed to be a little bigger at the "T' than the original. My doors are about 14 years old, but I didn't look online prior to purchasing to see if I could find one to fit the original.
