Just got home from a 2 week fire assignment in Alaska, and my honey due was waiting for me. Error codes from the dish washer, microwave door handle snapped off. Addressed both of those, then I'm told the automatic garage door opener isn't working:

  1. Checked/ replaced the door code keypad battery- NADA/ It was fine.
  2. Checked the Fuse at the panel- NADA
  3. Checked for any GFCI's in the house to see if anything was tripped- NADA
  4. Uplugged the garage opener and plugged it back in- NADA

Won't open/ close, it has power- just zero signs of life when you hit the button (both hard wired one and remotes)

It's not a "smart" unit. Just your basic unit. Unit is 5 years old. What am I missing?

My older opener has a lock/vacation mode switch on the hardwired wall control. Did it get flipped by chance?
You said it has power, so you checked voltage on the unit?

Pretty much all garage door indoor pushbuttons function by temporarily shorting the two wires in the circuit together - that's why a doorbell can work here. Try doing this manually on the two screws on the opener by bridging with a screwdriver, and see what happens.

All except for Chamberlain/Liftmaster with a two wire serial communication to the push button operator panel.
