I'm having an intermitent issue with my garage door.
Door is up/open,I hit the button and it moves a couple inches then back up it goes.
I release the door from the opener, lower it and press the button, the opener runs all the way and re-engages. Opens up fine after.
Happenes every few cycles and just started. It only does it when I'm in a hurry.

Nothing in the Genie troubleshooting that fits
Thoughts?

If rollers and rails look ok, maybe just a slight increase in the force adjustment is needed.

Try your door on manual first to make sure it's not binding! Then locate your down force adjustment, turn clockwise just a bit and try, Do not use any tools for this adjustment..just your fingers! It is a trim pod and a screwdriver or pliers will strip it. Lubricate your rollers and hinges and your good to go..

Check photocell alignment - if it is during daylight hours you could also have a sun shine problem with them, the closed door would block the sunlight - try swaping the photocells from side to side
