Hi,
I bought my house about 5 years ago and the previous owner had used the pink styrofoam insulation on my aluminum garage doors to keep it warm in the garage. He did the 2-stall side and left the third stall uninsulated (why? I don't know!). There was/is a bunch of leftover sheets of the pink stuff up in the rafters/attic of the garage for me to use...however...
I want a better finished look in my garage. I'd prefer to look at white than the pink, but to save money (and a little time), I had thought about maybe using some sort of white lightweight paneling or sheeting on the backside of the garage door to give it a more finished look. Menards has a semi-rigid wall paneling that might work and might be stiff enough to stay inside the edges when going up and down. I've also seen idea of using ceiling panels on the backside, but wasn't sure how well they'd work with condensation, etc. I don't want to spend a ton of money either as I can buy all new kits for the garage for around $165.
Anyone have any advice, suggestions, tips, tricks, ideas, etc.? Just wanting to explore all ideas before I choose one to go with.
Thanks in advance!
Jim
