Garage door insulation

I have a Wayne Dalton partially insulated (R3.7?) garage door that faces west and a bit south. Probably the worst angle for the afternoon sun here in Riverside Ca. It is noticeably warmer when standing next to the door so I was thinking of adding a reflective barrier. I can see where the main panels will be simple enough to install but does anyone have any thoughts around how to handle hinged seems in the door?

The green hinges would be a nice addition too, but I don't see a version that would work with this door. Maybe that is their next step.
