Garage door issue.. looking for vertical bifold

Hi and thanks,

I have been searching for a garage door to solve our problem, we are in a unusual shaped house where one of the garage walls slants in towards the house therefore not allowing for traditional garage door tracks as they would penetrate the outer wall...

That leaves us 2 choices:

1. Roll up door
2. I saw a bifold like door at a restaurant that, instead of folding sideways like a closet, it collapsed/folded upwards with only vertical tracks.. took up very little space..(think traditional door without tracks, each section folds up underneath the previous)

We are remodeling and the previous owners turned the 16 foot opening into a 12 foot opening which allowed for the tracks on the ceiling .. we would like to move ti back to 16 feet..


So the million dollar question is... does anyone know who makes a vertical bifold door or what they are called ..?

I can not find anything and the restaurant I saw them at had no clue....

I saw those and but I think they are a bit different as they only fold in 1 spot ....

The one I am looking for is basically taking a true sectional door (6-8 sections) and stacking them at the top of the opening.

Any help?

Maybe you could use a roll up garage door, here's an example, there are many other brands out there,

Do a search on "hanger doors"
As in airplane hangers.
They are very common

The verticle fold doors is more commonly knowns as a vertical bi fold. Most any garage door company should be able to find you one, through their various suppliers. Fairly simple to install. My company use to do hanger doors at airports easy enough to install just heavy when they are that big.
