:dunno:

So....I have a craftsman 2.5hp garage door opener with a serial starting with 139.XXXX

Somehow I managed to change my password on my keypad...no clue how!

Does anyone know the correct pairing instructions. I have found instructions online but they seem to not work.

One way was:
Garage door closed, key in code and hold enter. Have second person hold the 'light' button and then the garage door button on the wall until the garage light blinks. DIDN'T WORK!

I do have a button on the garage motor which seems like the 'learn' button. I have called Sears/Craftsman and they just want to send a tech out to calibrate my 'light sensors' for emergency operation of my door. No i'm not paying someone to do that.

I am exhausted on finding the correct 'process' to get my door clickers and keyless entry to sync.

The door clicker for my car just needs a new battery, I assume....hopefully!

Any ideas? I don't want to buy a new opener and all the extras just yet.

Hi slim.

Try watching this video. This will erase all codes. I have a craftsman opener with a starting serial of 139.5xxx

Works with the door open. I've never tried it closed.

Press the learn button on the opener and hold for 6 seconds. This will erase all codes.
Push the learn button on the opener itself. The led will light up. Run to the keypad. Key in your code and press enter. You may have to do this two times. The lights should blink. Your code is learned. The remotes are the same.

Once you erase all codes you will have to reprogram all remotes also.

Watch the vid.

To change the password on the outside key pad ... (When you know it)
( taken from the sticker on my door)

Opener in Learn mode

Enter pass.. Press #
Lights blink twice.
Enter new pass.
Press enter.
Light blinks once.
New code learned.
Take rest of day off. Hard work done.

Press the button under the light cover, type in the code you want, hit enter. Light will flash. If you hold the button it erases all codes. The "easy" way with the wall switch doesn't always work.
