Garage door opener choices?

Hey yall,

I'm having trouble choosing a new garage door opener. I have narrowed my choices to the Chamberlin whisper drive 3/4hp (WD962KEV) and the Liftmaster elite series 8500. Any of you have experience with either of these?

A lot of us have the LM 8500 and there are plenty of threads/posts about it.

Why have an overhead obstruction, when you don't need it. Go for the 8500!

I use the Liftmaster 8500 with the battery backup, and couldn't be happier with it.

Be careful with the LM 8500..It recently upgraded its frequencies and wont link with most "homelink" systems without a repeater
