How can I by-pass the safty lights on a sears screw door opener , The proble signal is an open connection I have checked with ohm meter from 1in above lights to connector without finding an open I need to now check the light and board but know how other than to bypass the circuit How do I bypass the saft circuit

Most openers use a digital signal sent from the transmitter end to the receiver end of the safety circuit. Unless you know what data is in that signal and can reproduce it for the receiver, you aren't likely to have much success.
The easy fix is to repair whatever is bad, and if it costs too much, replace the entire opener.

You can use your cellphone camera to see if the IR LED transmitter is working. Put your phone in camera mode and aim at the transmitter; you should see a bluish-white glow from the IR light source. That can help determine alignment problems. Are any of the LED lights on the sensor working?

I've seen galvanic corrosion be the cause of issues with the beams on my old opener, where the wire plugged into the sensors. They are pretty simple to disassemble. Reflowing the solder may fix it, or in my case I hard-soldered the wires to the pads eliminating the connector.

You can always pick up a pair from Home Depot or the like $30-$40 and without unrolling all the wire shoot them at each other to test them and return it if it doesn't work...
