I think its a Liftmaster, but can confirm when i go down next. Suddenly, none of the remotes will open the door. The other door works fine.

the wall switch for the door has two green lights and we noticed, about a year ago, that the lights for this door began blinking. I’ve been too busy/distracted to figure out why and the door functioned fine. Now, the lights are still blinking and the wall switch works, but the remote doesn’t work.

Thoughts? I can try a simple reprogram, but an curious if those blinking lights played a role here.

Just a guess - maybe the safety photo eyes got bumped and aren't "seeing" each other. But I'd think that it would still open.
If you replaced the light bulb recently with an LED bulb it might be interfering with the signal. Some LED's mess up the signal and others don't.
On my opener when the LED blinks on the wall switch it means that the unit is locked and will not respond to remote operation. Pushing and holding the lock button on the wall switch toggles the lock on and off.

Some openers have a vacation( or lock) mode, that disables the opener from operating by remote while you're gone. That would be something like this...
or this
And the light flashes when that mode is engaged.....

Thanks. Will investigate these ideas. Odd though, that the light has been on for a year, but the door kept working. Will report back

I seriously doubt you are having the same problem I had but I'll toss it in here for your enjoyment. One day the GDO would not respond to the remote. I took this on as a serious trouble shooting challenge. Ended up pulling the mother board from the motor unit and powering it up on the test bench so I could go through it with some test equipment.

Long story short..... My son had a remote in his backpack. A textbook was holding the push button down and the remote was transmitting continuously. F..............

All good now.

HAha. Nice!

You are correct. Mine wasn't a textbook in a backpack.

It was an ID10T error on our end. The blinking lights must be the indicator that the remote function is locked, as suggested above. I said, "how can that be, when it's been blinking for at least a year?" To which my wife responded, "It's been at least a year that your **** has filled my side of the garage, so how would we know? I can never park in here."

Note to self, don't ask the wife to help diagnose...

Wow - I can't believe that was it. I almost didn't post it as it seemed like a such an odd thing.
That's the beauty of GJ.
Cheers
Dave
