What is the radius of the track?
Is it a high lift track?
Do you plan on or have a hoist in that Bay?
Liftmaster 8365 is a very good quality trolley opener that you can get a 10' rail for.
Before people start telling you to go with a jackshaft opener do some research as potential problems/ common failures.

The OP said he has a roll up door. A trolley lift won't help him.

Coiling doors, you are correct. Many use roll up for sectional doors. I asked for pictures for several reasons in the next post.

That's a coiling door and will require a jackshaft opener. You will need to know the diameter of the shaft sticking out of the side. Most sectional doors use a 1" shaft but not all coiling doors.

When ordering, make sure you specify a roll up. Gearing is different from sectional. Do you lose power often? Some openers have a manual chainhoist incorporated into the opener. Your existing hoist will have to be disabled or removed so as not to interfere.

Not sure of the compatibility with a roll up door but we are going with Liftmaster 8500W openers.
One of the benefits to that one is that they include an internal battery so you can still open/close the door when the power is out.
They also make a 8500 (non "w"). I think that also has the internal battery backup but doesn't have the wireless smart opener stuff built in (available as an add on) so it is about $100 cheaper. You might need an adapter though to connect these to the jack shaft on a roll up door.
When gnpenning mentions common issues with jack shaft openers, many have to do with getting a sectional door moving when you try and close them and throwing cables. We are going with pusher springs on the end of our tracks to get around this issue but it doesn't apply to your application. I do have a couple roll up doors but they are small ones and I don't have openers on them.

Roll up garage doors are galvanized steel doors that are manufactured into rolled formed slats that interconnect with each other to form a door curtain that rolls up into a coil above interior or exterior building openings.

As I mentioned I wasn't sure if they were compatible with roll up doors. That is what I am going with but I am also going with sectional.
I am sure that Liftmaster has an option for roll up doors if they say no to the 8500. They have a bunch of options in the commercial line.

Something like this would do the trick. It includes the chain for manually opening it. You just have to go from the residential series (8500) up to the commercial stuff.

Do you want a remote control? Many commercial door openers use a 3 button control station. Some sell a remote as an option.
There is an aftermarket system compatible with the 3 button operator. I used one made by GAMA electronics. It works well. Good range etc. It comes with an external antenna. Do your research.

You may pay more for the commercial system but will be well served in the long run. The residential ones are just not as robust as the commercial. Think no plastic gears or plastic springs. Many of the new commercial openers are set up for remotes, you have to order them as an option.

Research the type of remote you will get with whatever system you purchase.
As an example - The GAMA system I mentioned replicates the 3 button control station in the garage.
That means the remote also has an UP, DOWN, and STOP button. So if you want to program the Homelink system in your car to control the door you may have issues.
You may be forced to use the remote transmitters supplied with the door. Or you may possibly have to dedicate one Homelink button to UP and another to DOWN. I have not tried this.
I think the Liftmaster commercial opener has an optional 1 button control - but don't take my word for it.

Is anything stopping me from adding the opener to the non hoist side of the door? It's a dead shaft door (at least, I'm pretty sure.)
Is there a reason I couldn't go to a bike shop and get a longer chain for the opener? It appears to be just a regular bike chain...
