Yes, remove control is the main thing I'm after. My wife and I are trying to get away from having to get out of the car and open the door.
Research the type of remote you will get with whatever system you purchase.
As an example - The GAMA system I mentioned replicates the 3 button control station in the garage.
That means the remote also has an UP, DOWN, and STOP button. So if you want to program the Homelink system in your car to control the door you may have issues.
You may be forced to use the remote transmitters supplied with the door. Or you may possibly have to dedicate one Homelink button to UP and another to DOWN. I have not tried this.
I think the Liftmaster commercial opener has an optional 1 button control - but don't take my word for it.
