HI all,

The top of the second panel of my garage door hits the weather stripping when opening. No other panels seems to hit.. Exactly like what is shown in the video below. Any ideas on how to remedy?

Thanks in advance,

This is exactly what my new garage door was doing, and the problem was exacerbated by hot temperatures (90s and 100s). It would almost disappear when the temperature was 80 or lower; obviously, thermal expansion played a role in it.

The installer finally figured it out on his third visit (when it was 95 degrees outside).
He replaced the hinges on the offending panel with a different set that provided more clearance.

Problem solved.

Appreciate the response! I will take a closer look at the hinges later today.

Look at the roller mount offset on that panel seam.
Some manufacturers number hinge and roller assemblies in sequential order from top to bottom. The solution may be super simple or quite involved depending on the installation. Is it possible the door retrofitted on existing rails?

How much of the top panel overlaps with the opening? My garage door is a good 6" taller than the opening, no clue why. Sometimes mine will hit the opening (not as bad at the video) and as far as I know, there is no way to fix that other than changing the radius on the tracks.
