Garage door panels as insulation

Anyone ever hear of it? Rumor is local guy here did it in his pole barn. Got ahold of garage door manufacture and bought 16' panels. Ran them vertically. Screwed them to Perlins and sealed them together where the tonge and grove is.

What do you guys think? Cost effective as insulation and inside sheathing all in one?

Different strokes for different folks.

May well have been a great compromise between cost and effectiveness.

I would think it would be more costly that way??? Garage doors aren't cheap...Is it possible to find out who he is and go talk to him??

From the way it was explained to me, stye are damaged panels right from manufacture. Not from a dealer and just the panels, not the track are any other BS
